Soon after the video of the plane stuck under the bridge went viral, the airline confirmed that there was no accident and that it was a canceled plan subject to transportation. The airlines said the plane was being taken by its new owner who had bought it from Air India.
“It’s an old, worn out plane that we’ve already sold. There is no additional information as it includes the person to whom it has been sold,” said an Air India spokesperson, who was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
“The aircraft definitely does not belong to the Delhi airport fleet… it is being carried without any wings. It appears to be a faulty aircraft and the driver may have decided at fault while transporting it,” the official said.
