Talking about the same, Tahira Kashyap took to Instagram to share her experience. She was recently admitted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) as she was suffering from bottle gourd poisoning. Her Instagram caption reads, “PLS listen to it! @Instagram is a wonderful platform to spread awareness! Please read about gourd toxicity! I looked cool and calm all the way through in this video I made from my set, but I was in deep sh#%! Sharing the diet as doctors also asked me to spread awareness. I picked my phone for everyone I know that #greenjuice gourd poisoning has serious consequences, and serious is an understatement. Please read between the lines. It’s fatal. Don’t just keep bursting juices in the name of health! There was a reason I was in ICU for the same, I don’t want to elaborate more but please spread the word around (sic). If you replace juice with food, your body may become malnourished. Macronutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats make up a balanced diet. Protein and fat help quell hunger. Proteins also help in keeping the blood sugar level count stable. Juice lacks macronutrients. In addition, juice does not contain enough protein to stabilize blood sugar levels and provide energy to the body.

Consuming only juice can deprive your body of vital and vital proteins that food can provide. It is okay to have green juice with breakfast or lunch but green juice alone may not be enough.
