Srinagar: Makhan Lal Bindru, the owner of Bindru Medicate, was shot dead by terrorists near Iqbal Park in Srinagar on Tuesday. 68-year-old Bindru was shot by the assailants when he was at his drugstore.
He was taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Bindu, a Kashmir Pandit, was one of his community who did not move out of Kashmir after the start of militancy in 1990.
He stayed with his wife to continue operating their pharmacy Bindru Mediket.
