Abu Dhabi: Despite the defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday, RCB captain Virat Kohli heaped praise on Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal, who has often been Kohli’s favorite bowler, put up another good performance against SRH as he conceded only 27 runs in his four overs and took one wicket. Kohli said that he has worked hard on his bowling, which is a good sign for the team.
He said, ‘Chahal’s bowling is very good now. Looks like he has worked on his bowling all the time. He is bowling the way we know he can bowl. His good bowling is a good sign for the team and we hope he continues to do so. He has been really brilliant with the ball,” Kohli said after RCB’s loss against SRH. Meanwhile, RCB made a mess in their run chase as bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad dashed their hopes of a place in the top two with a narrow four-run victory in an IPL thriller in the last over.
After making 141 for 7, SRH restricted RCB to 137 for six, their third win in the cash-rich T20 league. Chasing a total, Devdutt Padikkal (41) and Glenn Maxwell (40) scored more runs but RCB lost wickets and faltered in the end.
Defending 18 runs in the last two overs, Jason Holder bowled a brilliant over, conceding just five runs for one wicket. AB de Villiers hit a six off the fourth ball of the last over bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar but could not take the team home as South Africa did not need to hit a six off the last ball.
