The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals was turned upside down on Monday. It was an intense match where no team was willing to give up. At one point, KKR looked all set to chase the huge score, but a brilliant 4-wicket over by Yuzvendra Chahal turned the tide for his team. That over also included a hat-trick from the cunning leggie. In this article we look at how Yuzvendra Chahal explains the celebration after the hat-trick against KKR.

Yuzvendra Chahal explains the celebration after the hat trick

Although he made it over a few runs in the first, it was imperative for RR that Chahal return at his best. He threw a couple of tight overs and on death he pulled out one of the best overs in IPL history. While Venkatesh Iyer came out for a big shot, the hat-trick that came a few balls later included the wickets of captain Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi and then Pat Cummins.

Yuzi finished with numbers 4-0-40-5 and was named Player of the Match. After taking the hat-trick, Yuzi ran across the field celebrating and also dropped to the ground and looked into the camera. When asked about the meaning of the celebration, he revealed that it was based on a meme from the 2019 World Cup.

Rajasthan Royals are currently in good shape

RR is currently in top contact in IPL 2022. The batting department is in excellent shape, with the likes of Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer delivering consistently. When players like Devdutt Padikkal and Riyan Parag stand up, the punch gets even stronger.

Yuzvendra Chahal holds the purple hat and R Ashwin also helps Yuzi build up the pressure in the center backs. Obed McCoy’s performance against KKR will be another positive for the franchise.
