Mohammad Rizwan, the leading batsman of the Pakistan cricket team, is currently in the UK, playing for Sussex in county cricket. Last week, Rizwan made headlines for his amazing collaboration with Cheteshwar Pujara. The two batters harassed the opposing bowlers with their world-class punching skills. Now a video of Mohammad Rizwan bowling pace has surfaced on the internet.
Pujara scored another double century as Rizwan headed to the pavilion after scoring 79 runs from 145 deliveries. Their partnership saw Sussex finish with 538 runs on the board in its first innings. It was the Durham team that batted first, but they collected only 223 runs in the first innings.
Fans witnessed a much improved batting performance by Durham’s batters in the second innings, as the team’s openers, Alex Lees and Sean Dickson, each scored a century. Lees scored 105 runs from 262 deliveries, while Sean collected 186 runs from 290 balls. Mason Crane took the wickets from both batters.
However, their partnership ensured that only one result was possible in the match and that was a draw. As both teams understood that the match would end in a stalemate, Sussex captain Tom Haines decided to use some part-time bowling options. He used the pace of Mohammad Rizwan.
Rizwan, who held the wickets first, threw two overs, giving away five points at an economy rate of 2.5 points per over. The county has uploaded a compilation video of Rizwan’s bowling. His bowling action reminded some fans of former Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, while some felt it was similar to Dominic Cork.
