Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson has revealed that when he toured New Zealand in early 2020, it was his comeback with the Indian team, a lot of things had changed and he didn’t really know who to talk to and how to describe himself. must wear to begin with.

But it was then-deputy captain Rohit Sharma, who is now India’s captain in all three formats of the game, who helped him get into the group.

According to Sanju Samson, Rohit Sharma offered him to go out for dinner and since he was a bit lost at the time, he was very happy that Rohit offered to go out with him. The two went out and had a good interaction that helped him get into the group.

“I remember I was in NZ, Rohit Sharma Bhai was there, Virat Kohli Bhai was there. You don’t know who to approach, who to talk to, what to say, Rohit Bhai then came and said come on “Let’s go have dinner. I said oh okay, let’s go bhaiya. It was very nice of him.” – Sanju Samson

Rahul Dravid talks to everyone in the same tone regardless of his profile: Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson was in an exclusive conversation with presenter Gaurav Kapoor on his Breakfast with Champions show, where he also praised current Indian head coach Rahul Dravid. Speaking of Dravid, Sanju said that Dravid is unique in the sense that he treats everyone the same regardless of the person’s profile.

Sanju revealed that Rahul Dravid’s tone doesn’t really change much whether he’s talking to the owner of Rajasthan Royals or a regular gardener. His tone remains the same and he finds it really fascinating.

Sanju Samson (in Breakfast with Champions) said: “The best quality of Rahul Dravid is that – he will talk the same way to the owner of Rajasthan Royals and he will talk the same way to the gardener – I will be like ‘How can you it”.

Rahul Dravid is now the head coach of the Indian National Cricket Team, but he has also worked with Sanju at Rajasthan Royals, in the capacity of a mentor, and Sanju has seen Dravid’s working style up close.

It now remains to be seen that with Dravid at the helm of things for the Indian team how much of a run Sanju Samson gets in the Indian lineup as he has never really gotten any consistent chances for India in white ball cricket despite posting on wonderful performances in the IPL almost every season.
