Rohit Sharma’s youth coach believes the Indian cricket team captain and the Mumbai Indians should consider taking a break from the IPL as the Mumbai Indians have been eliminated from the tournament and have no chance of qualifying for the play-offs.

Mumbai Indians have lost 8 of the 9 matches they have played in IPL 2022 so far and they don’t even have a mathematical chance of qualifying for the play-offs. India has to play a lot of cricket after the IPL and Rohit is India’s captain in all formats of the game.

Although he is equipped with a few international assignments, he still has many international matches to play in the future and his condition, especially in terms of muscle injuries, has not been great lately. As a result, he had to miss many foreign tours.

Youth coach of Rohit Sharma wants him to be fresh for international assignments

So from the point of view of Rohit Sharma’s youth coach, who was interviewed by News 24, it’s understandable that he wants him to take a break from IPL now, but realistically it doesn’t seem possible. Because after losing so many matches this season, Mumbai Indians now want to end the season on a high and they would like their captain to be there to keep the ship stable.

Apart from Rohit Sharma, even Jasprit Bumrah is another Indian player, who has to play a lot of international cricket this year, and the Indian fans want him to get some rest too, with Mumbai Indians out of the qualifying race, but it doesn’t seem to be that the Mumbai Indian management is in the mood to put their big guns to rest.

Rohit Sharma, despite his youth coach’s suggestion, is likely to play all remaining matches for Mumbai Indians in the current IPL season.
