Virat Kohli is one of the greatest hitters of all time. But like any other champions player, the Indian cricket team star is currently going through a difficult phase in his career. He failed to score a hundred in 2020 and 2021, and Kohli’s century-long drought continued into 2022.

Earlier today, the star of Royal Challengers Bangalore came out to bat for number three against the Lucknow Super Giants at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. LSG won the toss and chose to field first. Dushmantha Chameera got off to a great start when he removed Anuj Rawat on the fifth ball.

Chameera then turned down Virat Kohli for a golden duck, prolonging fans’ wait for the end of Kohli’s century drought. Kohli handed Deepak Hooda a flyout from the first ball he saw.

Shortly after his resignation, a popular statistician noted that it was the 100th consecutive game in which Kohli ended up without a century. He considered tests, ODIs, T20Is and IPL matches for his calculation.

“Virat Kohli has now played 100 games in all formats without a century – 17 Tests, 21 ODIs, 25 T20Is and 37 IPL games,” he wrote.

The drought of the century of Virat Kohli will probably end soon

All cricket fans want to see another century of Kohli’s bat soon. It’s been over two years since the world saw him celebrate a century. Although he has done well, he has yet to post a big score. Speaking to commentators mid-innings during the game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants, RCB coach Sanjay Bangar said:

“Virat has scored consistently for a number of years – at the moment, as you could say, he is going through a low level. I’d look at it this way – if he doesn’t have a high score for about 7 innings, it’s just around the corner. †
