Wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran of the Sunrisers Hyderabad has uploaded an Instagram post with a photo of himself and MS Dhoni and recalls the match SRH played against CSK a few days ago at the MCA stadium, Pune.
MS Dhoni once again took the lead as CSK captain and CSK defeated SRH by 13 runs, but Nicholas Pooran was really blown away by the atmosphere in the stadium and the kind of love Dhoni received from the fans. It was a neutral venue and not the home of CSK, yet there was a sea of yellow in the stands.
To anyone watching the game on TV or on the ground it almost seemed like the game was in Chepauk as there was so much support for Chennai despite it being a neutral venue.
Nicholas Pooran wrote in his post that the love for Dhoni in India is unreal and what he experienced in Pune is one of the memories that he would never forget in his career.

Nicholas Pooran has been much more consistent this season than the previous IPL season
SRH may have lost the game, but Nicholas Pooran scored half a century for the men in orange, though it came at the cost of three missed opposition catches.
However, it is not just the game against CSK that Pooran has scored for SRH this season, he has generally been much more consistent this season than last season for his old team Punjab Kings.
In the IPL mega auction a few months ago, CSK itself was one of the teams that bid for Pooran. They wanted to buy Pooran as they needed a left-handed batsman in the middle order, but it was SRH who finally managed to outbid CSK and secure Pooran’s services.
The West Indian left-hander has certainly not disappointed SRH with his performance thus far.
